Do we have anyone who can help with this? We need to send the next quarterly email to the members soon and need some infrastructure to make this happen.

We have emailed the members on CiviCRM and asked them to sign up for Donorbox.

It should be 25 a quarter or 100 a year minimum. If that's not the case we need to change it.

I would very much encourage us to focus on making this a supporting membership drive. We are currently in the process of migrating the supporting memberships from CiviCRM to Donorbox and we need to ramp up supporting memberships there: T16325 We should encourage this over simple donations to build up a reliable base of income for the e.V. instead of one-off support.
We could still have a goal associated with it like signing up X supporting members during the campaign.

We should probably mention the new annual report in this mailing.

I think the latter only becomes a problem if we change the heading per your suggestion. If we talk about why someone should become a supporting member then the point seems ok enough. We want to sell people on it after all ;-)

In general I think it'd be good to have a lightweight defined process for both adding and removing official services.

They have to migrate themselves. But that's outside the scope of this ticket. What we need here is general content for the site that anyone will see encouraging them to sign up as a supporting member.

So I did a lot of digging (which is why this took so long).
Here is where we are: in 2014 we voted to have flexible membership fees. The wording is "Amount selected by the supporting member, at least 20 EUR per year". It seems this is by now contrary to what the board wants (flexible but at least 100 Euro a year or 30 Euro a quarter) but we voted on it.

As for how we want things to be recurring: from the accounting side we very much don't want something monthly or even more regularly. It creates a lot of overhead during bookkeeping. Quarterly is ok but annual is even better from that perspective.

We have flexible membership fees now but have not set the new tiers yet. We will look into that.

@dinanouskali let's go over the schedule together and make some sense of what we should especially highlight. I am also thinking we can group some stuff.

For what it's worth: There is no room in the goals process for telling someone they are too new, inexperienced or similar to propose a goal. It is an explicitly open process to bring in new people and ideas. So please leave gatekeeping out of here and let's discuss the merit of each goal proposal.

I'd very much support this. It addresses a major problem I have with the proposal as it stands. (Happy to jump on a call to bounce off ideas if that'd help you.)

Additional recommendation for an important topic: positioning of the promo team (what do we do, who do we do it for, ...) and how that fits with the perception and expectations of other parts of the KDE Community
