Investigate feasibility of using iOS's background location session execution mode to provide optional background activity
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

Someone suggested in the TestFlight screenshot feedback that the open-source NextCloud iOS app uses the “location session” “trick” to keep the app running in the background. By itself, this is often seen as a "hacky" method that could attract scrutiny from App Store review.

Should we consider adding it as an optional toggle in KDE Connect iOS? This needs further investigation. Since we're planning on adding location services for the trusted network feature, perhaps we would actually have a reason to add this as well?
