Hi,
I would like to have 5 different choices, each one corresponding to one of the configuration listed above.
Thanks,

I agree with you that ascending order is of a much higher priority and that this one needs to be reworked.
Aug 8 2019
Hi,
Not sure I agree with Johnny and Timothée.
I think there is as much interest in selecting the next word in alphabetical order that there is in selecting the next number. If you start with a word like "action" then present "zebra" then "boat" then "coat" then "three" then "dount", if your pupil is able to skip "zebra" and "three" then it is a nice activity.
We just need to make sure that we have two words on the screen before to allow the helicopter to move.

I would put everything within the same activity so that people would find it under the same name for example relative positionning.
We coudl add between

I finally managed to run openssl and could review your diff.
This is what I was looking for.
Code is ok for me, I find it generic enough to be reused in other programs.
One thing thought. The identation of brackets { and } is broken.
For example in TutorialBase.qml.

Hi,
I am working from a fresh version of master and get the same problem when I want to apply diff for both D18230.diff
and D18600.diff.
error: patch failed: src/activities/activities.txt:119
Could you on your side apply your patch to see if it is working?
Thanks

Hi,
Yes it is but we need to wait for a first version from Johnny on which we
will be able to base our work.

Hi,
Animtim will certainly have a better view than mine but for me it was not a problem as the blackboard is more there as background.
I find it better if when possible the score is as big as possible as GCompris is also played on very small screens like phone screens.

Great job. I haven't looked at the code yet but the behaviour is what I was looking for.
Can you do some small adjustments?
We need to add an other tutorial page before to explain what is a remainder.
Adding a first page with the question of this page: https://pasteboard.co/I1JDfjO.png
But not the example, this will lead to the remainder explanation which is at the moment in page 1 but will be moved to page 2.

What do you think about using AnswerButton (the same as readingh/readingv/leftright/missing-letter activities) and avoid adding the text: "Great" or "Error"?

Seeing Johnny's question I will try to be more precise about the mockup.
I would like to see the answer area close to the question, without equal. Take a resonnably large answer length. If the area fits on the same line keep it on the same line.
If it does not fit put it alone on the next line. The size of the answer area should be adaptive. It should increase with the number of characters entered if the answer is long.
This is because if from the beginning you fit the length of the answer area to the answer itself it will give hints for the pupil to choose the answer.

I have many small changes to request, could you document the changes refering to their number each time one of the item is done? Otherwise it will be difficult to me to see what has been done.
I will describe the changes refering to tutorial pages.
1- tutorial page n2
Can you insert the following page before the page 2 in order to explain what a remainder is
https://snag.gy/tDoGi8.jpg

Checked both behaviour and code. Beautiful piece of code :) Code is easy to understand, functions are well named, factorisation is well used everywhere it can be. Well done, congratulation!
Ready to be merged :)
Have a go!
Here is the mockup I prepared for long sentences
https://snag.gy/IQLv5e.jpg
Ok, I will see with Johnny if state is the good tool for it, I don't remember saying it used for this purpose.
About your last comment I did not ask you to remove submit button but the start button.
I will prepare a mockup to explain you the size of the fonts I have in mind, the test you have done on sentences length could also be useful there implement the change I have in mind.
Could you please detail what you have done when submitting the final sum up.
Instead of writting "Made the changes" I need to know what has been changed.

Please look at what l'escapdou does. This is a very different level of
quality that we need to reach if we want to use it as a pedagogical
activity.
We will need to draw between the points not only lines between dots.
Could you work the way questions and answers are displayed?
https://snag.gy/IiCuYd.jpg
We should try to have one question and answer per line, and if there is not enough place for a question in a single line you force the answer under the question.
Could you do a test please?
Remove the start button (only comment it in the code do not delete the lines).
Start should be done when user clicks the first time in any answer box.
Could you also add an item of you choice saying that time is running?
Something nice not stressful. You can look at how candies are animated in share activity to see how you can make objects moving slightly.
Warning message does not fit in the screen

Dataset missing
dataset.js is still included in the code.

I think you added an hard coded value for noOfQuestions, but I can not test since I do not have the js at the moment.
I applied your diff and get this answer:
Script qrc:/gcompris/src/activities/question_and_answer/dataset.js unavailable
qrc:/gcompris/src/activities/question_and_answer/dataset.js: No such file or directory
Can you update the diff please?

When I reduce the window size, numbers are disappearing (see level 3). They should be reordered on a lower line.
"-The only thing that should prevent the user to select a certain difficulty of dataset should be the global difficulty filter (in which case we must display a message to indicate those are disabled by the active filter)." -> or simply "grey" them and put them inactive so that people still know that more difficult objective can be achieved if you change the difficulty level?
Activity: Sudoku
Place unique symbols in a grid
Goal: The aim of the puzzle is to enter a symbol or numeral from 1 through 9 in each cell of a grid. In the official Sudoku the grid is 9x9 made up of 3x3 subgrids (called 'regions'). In GCompris we start at lower levels with a simpler version using symbols and with no regions. In all cases the grid is presented with various symbols or numerals given in some cells (the 'givens'). Each row, column and region must contain only one instance of each symbol or numeral (Source <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sudoku>).
Hi,
Very nice!
Two questions:
- Will the user be able to change the level difficulty by pressing the Maximum difficulty selected entry button? This would be a nice and easy way to change it if needed?
- Will the user be able to choose a dataset that is has a difficulty level higher than the maximum difficulty level? Exemple in this case will the user be able to clieck on Table de 6?
Great job

@jjazeix : I think we should careffuly choose the questions that are "teaching" the concept. So The number of questions would be a fixed number.

Hi,
I don't know how much work you have done on it, if it comes from Amit or you but the activity seems much nicer than the last time I saw it.
I saw a few points to improve, even if I did not have a look to the code yet.
- When I reduce the size of GCompris the equal sign (=) goes under the numbers. You could work on font size to avoid this but in any case the = sign needs to stay on the same line
- In the admin config menu, numbers are too far from their select box and I did not know if the select box was assigned to the right or the left numbers
- Admin config: could you increase the fonts
- Admin config: when reducing some part of the questions disappear, you can rearange then with a flow
-Main window: if the display is too small to display all the questions, the up and down blue arrows used in the config window should appear.

@jjazeix For me it is important that GC contributor know that we are going in the multidataset direction. You have a working version of Reversecount and I have a working version of algebra_by (I have to port the other algebra before to release it).
As they are in a separate branch, there would be no problem for our community to start to experiment.
What needs to be clear is that we did not reach a final architecture for multidataset.
We are in a on progress mode and the final architecture is not known, they will have to adapt their activities to evoluate with our experimentation.
Dec 31 2018
After implementing multipledataset in algebra_by, I have a clearer view about the icons to set the difficulty of each activity.
I would prefer if the multipledataset choice is done from the menu bottom rather than within the activity.
Dec 23 2018
I did not think about this, as I only run multidataset branch on computer, but you are right! No way to have favorite + multidataset on my small phone :(
For me the selection of Dataset should be accessible from the icon located top left of every activity with multidataset, like it is implemented at the moment in multidataset branch, this is very convenient!
The windows that opens should display all the multidataset levels corresponding to the nb of stars chosen.
Dec 3 2018
Point 1 seems to have been addressed as now the whole bar size decreases when going to two digits level number.
But a new problem appeared.
If you go to level 20 then go back to level 1 several times, le right level arrow gets hiden under the backspace key.
