Hello everyone,
I have added the highlights that Lydia forwarded to us.
Feel free to coordinate with Andy regarding the graphics that you would need for the social media promotion.
I have added the task for Andy here: https://invent.kde.org/teams/akademy/-/issues/130

@dinanouskali let's go over the schedule together and make some sense of what we should especially highlight. I am also thinking we can group some stuff.

In order to evaluate the results of LAS promotion, we had to analyse the analytics of the whole month.
We posted about every session and BoF in 2020. We prepared Insights at that time and then decided not to post about every session in future years as it was not worth the effort.
In order to evaluate the results of LAS promotion, we had to analyse the analytics of the whole month. As I have already mentioned, If you check them out, you would see that we had really good numbers and results. We had also posts that took many likes and retweets.
This is great. Let me discuss this with Akademy's team.

My proposal is to make posts regarding the program on Akademy’s Twitter and on the events that you have created on Facebook and Twitter for Akademy 2022 . As we have discussed many times we are not going to post everything on KDE’s social media accounts .
At LAS we had great results regarding the month (April) that we started promoting the program with posts, feel free to check out the analytics, If you have access. We were tagging the speakers and most of the speakers retweeting or sharing the posts which as a result brought more registrations but also engagement or more impressions and followers to LAS’s social media accounts . What was countable has to do with the analytics of social media. I need to ask If I am allowed to share some results of LAS here.
As i have mentioned to Aniqa I could also support you on this. I am sure we could ask more members of the team to help. I know it’s a lot of work but at this point we aim to have more registrations as the event is coming and to “make some noise “ on social media and bring more engagement.
With good cooperation and willingness I am sure we could make it work also for Akademy. Let’s discuss more details on Friday’s meeting or on a seperate meeting together. Thank you!

That is not true. Only a small number of attendees who come in person receive travel support. If we reach them there can also be a lot of locals depending on the area

It would be nice if the promo team could make a plan with what photos do we need from Akademy event for future promo. So the volunteer photographers could be more focused on what they shoot. We could create a guide for them. Feel free to let me know if you need any feedback or help on this.

Posting one or two highlights per conference day and, obviously, about the keynotes... All these are fine and we have seen positive feedback for things like this in the past. Posting about every single talk is overkill and has a the opposite effect, unfortunately.
Removed mentions of keynote3 (we only have 2) and registration closing as it doesn't, in the description

Looks great.
One possibility for shirts is to embroider. This can allow for some customization and local manufacture outside EU and North America, saving on shipping costs. For in person attendees, probably screen printing is most economical since a bulk order can be done. For those elsewhere manufacture and customization of a single embroidered shirt is cheaper than screen printing a single shirt or mailing bulk produced shirts. There are a number of open source projects for embroidery which can be used to convert artwork files to files that can be used for machine embroidery.
Hey @kbkmde : Please do not add items to the task description that are not the concern of promo. The materials for the T-shirt are not decided by Promo.

A sponsor had an issue with their logo on the sponsor's page so I had to re-do it. Here are the new versions:
Aug 10 2020
Jun 23 2020
Jun 11 2020
before I disabled it it was configured like this in the appearance settings
I'm not sure I understand the issue with the CDN. This looks correct:
, there was some code about cdn in the theme I based my work on but I think i disabled everything.I've created separate footer blocks for neverland and aether
The tracking issue is a blocker
In T13095#232668, @duffus wrote:Looking good but there are a few issues i've noticed:
Footer: is it intentional that it appears to require a block in the footer section to display its footer stuff even though its footer isn't defined in the actual footer block? Disabling akademy footer block in aether theme blocks makes the aether footer go away as well as the content of the akademy footer block
External tracking: The theme is configured to use an external CDN, jsDelivr, for some stuff which exposes visitors to tracking. I'm not sure if it is actually doing that? If not that should probably be unticked, however if it is this needs changed over to use KDE CDNs
Akademy location/date: The recently added Akademy date/location info on akademy-dev.ko doesn't seem to be deployed on akademy.ko? These are based on the -dev view
- Configuration: we need to be able to configure this from within drupal how do we do that? Could it maybe use the site Slogan if thats not used elsewhere in aether?
- On pages with the sponsor sidebar it partially covers the the date (https://akademy-dev.kde.org/2019)
- On mobile yesterday the date was displayed above the blue line and overlapped the hamburger, now it seems not to be displayed at all?
Admin: when doing administration the theme isn't great (minor)
Looking good but there are a few issues i've noticed:

That seems like the first stage to checking for issues by allowing us to change our personal theme to it, not the public one yet

I still have no word from ASU. I got an initial response and had a meeting scheduled to talk but between COVID and now protests it was postponed and yet to be rescheduled.
