Rationale

In the last two years we have had difficulty in getting a host early for Akademy. In 2019 we didn't know until well into summer and we still don't know where we are going for 2020. Promo can help by spreading the news we are searching for locations for our event.

However, posting to social media and places like Reddit is clearly insufficient. While I do not suggest we stop doing that, I do say we should like deeper, for more specific forums, maybe specialised groups on Facebook, Reddit, or elsewhere.

And, despite organising Akademy is hard work, there are clear advantages, not least of which is the appreciation of our community.

Goal

Get at least 3 solid proposals for Akademy 2020 before the end of 2019.

• Brainstorm forums to promote to
• Craft messages to send to the forums -- point out advantages and boost in reputation
• Identify and engage individuals willing to head the on-location organisers
