Looking forward to it :) On evening or week end would be the best.

I checked all of them using Lokalize and it is 'Nombres arabes", this is already good in gcompris. We can close the task.

Hi,
We do not need to have a version just for numbers. I understand why it is
in mathematics now.

Your are right, this appeared to me this afternoon while reviewing some more activities !

We could speak about the fact that GCompris is supporting many languages. This includs regional langages (catalan, breton, malayalam) that would not interest global e-learning platforms.
This is possible as local user becomes actors of GCompris.

I am a little bit lost, which criteria do you see, is it on a graphical point of view or about what content is presented?
Oct 9 2020
I have diffculties to see GCompris as a video game. For me video game is more like call of duty or animal crossing, where no doubt about it it will develop sens of orientation for the first one and social interaction for the second.
GCompris does not play in the same league, the activities we propose do not require quick response to stimuli. I am not sure the studies speaking about video games can be used for GCompris.

@Timothée: True. So we can put back the music point.
Personally I would see GCompris as a companion, not a magic pedagogical tool.
An application for kids to discover or enhance own knowledges AND for parents and teachers to illustrate and provide drills exercises from knowledges they explained themself.
I do not know exactly how to phrase that but this is how I see it.
Sure! With two remarks thought.
Would be great to source these numbers a little bit more accurately.

It works on the last master commit
commit fe4ba4ca5136b0155ca5c42300e6565c3752fb5c
Wonder what happened !
I had a look to the code and there is a part that should be a bit clearer to be able to maintain it more easily. Maybe the problem comes from there.
Number with dices (smallnumber) and number with dominos (smallnumber2) inherit from GLetters. But in GLetters if I can see where smallnumber2 is called from can not see where smallnumber is called from.
I will see with Tim and Johnny why we have done it this way.

Connecting devices screen allows to :
- List all the tablets reachable from the control panel (shows a list with all users or grouped by groups)
- Target a specific group
- Send targeted groups a connection request
- Display each group user connection status (shows a list with all users or grouped by groups)
- Disconnect a user
- Disconnect a group
Main screen allows to access:
- Dashboard screen
- Connecting devices screen
- Following results screen
- Managing pupils screen
- Manages sequences screen
- Managing workboard screen
An option to hide the titles of these screens in the menu allows to gain some place once the user knows the meaning of each icon.
Hi,
Level1 (with image):
We have twice the questions because some pupils have a visual memory and can, from the image proposed, remember where the planet is located in the planets row.
From this location, pupils that have understood that furthur you are from the sun longer is a year, colder it is, the one that have in mind that except for mars the size of the planets follows a regular increase and decrease size can deduct some of the answers from the facts known about earth (365 days, -30 to 50 degrees, 24 hours etc...).
I would say that the image level is the deduction level.
Image 2 (without image):
Here pupils test what they memorised.

7*7 is good for me as it becomes a real challenge. 5 stars is perfect for me. We teach symetry from 5 years old but real problem are given from 8 years old.
Works good for me. Should we not add the grid size to the dataset description to give more hints to the user?
For example:
Small grids (3*3) ?

Hi,
We can still put some notes in the js file to explain how the dataset qml file needs to be written, but yes there is no customizable level to be put in the multipledataset definition qml file.
I really like Timothée multipledataset definition:

Hi,
Magic hat is difficult for preschool children, even for me sometimes ;) Two many steps.
So yes it would be a good game for preschool and 6 years old if we could add addition and subtraction (until +4/-4 is really enough).

We remove it as unfixed since it is duplicated
https://phabricator.kde.org/T13112
Can you modify the goals and the difficulties?
You now know from the other tasks what diffilcuties corresponds to what operations.
You will have to remove some operations to match with the difficulty level.
For example you can not propose division with 3 stars.
Removed the number range selection description to just focus on quantities représentation choice options.
Difficulty are ok for me.
If we would really stick to french school program we would have to put everything to 4 stars as 8 years old children have to know their multiplication tables until 10 (and division is the inverse of multiplication).
But keep it like this
1-5 (4 stars)
5-10 (5 stars)
as this allows to have two difficulties level and in real life pupils only knowi their mutiplication tables around 9-10 years old.

Here are my corrections
I agree with this dataset
Jun 21 2020
Description is not correct, again the stars are wrong. Please change them to follow the rules I gave you.

Played it extensively. Could not break and I find the new dataset messages much clearer.
Good for me.

I am still not sure that we can use the term minuend. Please discuss about this with the other mentors.
Jun 13 2020
"Paul wants to equally share 2 pieces of candy between 2 of his friends: one girl and one boy." -> is there any addition of knowing there is a boy and a girl?
I am not sure we can use the term minuend. This is a term even if correct (just checked it right now) is not that known.

I made some changes to your new table
https://lite.framacalc.org/9h54-memory-games-testing
Once again you just answer by yes/no that does not help me at all. So I modified the columns titles in a way that forces you to tell what you are doing.
Please complete it.
As Timothée just said I would also prefer to keep them separated in datasets provided by default.
Symbols are more aimed at children or beginners as number is more for advanced users.
The actual code is now perfectly generic and numbers are in fact symbols.

Hi,
Maybe because you use a diff that you commit? No idea on my side but
could you ask Timothée or Johnny to kbao why? What is sure is that I
don't see it.
