Here too we need to agree on some more "pedagogical" goals. Could you propose some deepak? I would review them.
You can have a look to what I propose in the addition and substraction goal I mentionned.
Keep in mind that until 5 years old (included) we do not work with numbers greather than 10.
1 star 0-3
2 stars 0-5
3 stars 0-10
Can seem slow for an adult, is really not, sens has to be buit.

Yeah sure if this datasets needs to be modified what I would propose that for each of the multiple datasets we can have different sub-levels with range of calculation.
As for multiple data 1: Learn subtraction with 1 with cards equivalent to 10. We can have different sub-levels with card equivalent to 3, 4, ...10.
And one thing I would mentioned that the goal of this activity is to Practice subtraction so the defined datasets also can be used.

@timotheegiet @echarruau Let me know your views as if we focus on the goal than I think we can use the above defined datasets.

Like I said on the comment for multiplication memory:
-I think we should keep this content for the dataset
-just the text for the goals can be simplified (like, "subtraction table of 1, maximum number 11"...)
-and probably the difficulty/stars need to be adapted a bit

... and we will see to create another activity to learn subtractions progressively for the youngers.

Yes, I would update the description to make it bit shorter as suggested by you.
Thanks!

@timotheegiet I have updated the description as to make it more clear. I don't think it's that too long. As the initial description was "Subtraction table of 1".
Let me know if this is good.

@timotheegiet @echarruau Can you please review the multiple dataset description if it's all good to implement?

I am not sure we can use the term minuend. This is a term even if correct (just checked it right now) is not that known.

You need to redo you description

Keep in mind that :
1 star children can only count to 3
2 stars to 5
3 stars to 10
4 stars to 99 but 15 would be enough

@echarruau I have updated the description. Please review it once.

I am still not sure that we can use the term minuend. Please discuss about this with the other mentors.

I have been clear yesterday during our conversation, giving you arguments and examples that I don't want you to adapt the activity goals to your understanding of the code, but that I wanted you to produce a description corresponding to the need of pupils.
I expect this activity to include 3 years old pupils (1 star), which mean having a max number equal to 3.
I would personnaly also need multipledataset stars 2 3 4 to be taken into account.
This is a really nice activity for preschoool pupils.

Yes, I will discuss about the term minuend with the other mentors too.

As you mentioned about the description if I just used Goal as "Subtraction table of 1" and the star difficulty with 1. Than when the pupils would play it they would get the number more than 3 too to perform the arithmetic operations. So, I thought that this activity can't be adapted for 1 and 2 star difficulty.

I have now got your point now that "need to produce a description corresponding to need of pupils", I will update the description once confirming about the usage of the term minuend.

Thanks!

@timotheegiet Shall I use the term minuend for the goal or just the goal as "Subtraction table of 1" is okay?

@timotheegiet Shall I use the term minuend for the goal or just the goal as "Subtraction table of 1" is okay?

It would be better to send a mail to the mailing list or having information from a native speaker/teacher. Only them can tell is the term is used or not.

Sure, I will send a mail to the mailing list.

@echarruau :
I thought we agreed on the content...
Like I said in my previous comment:

Which means, keeping the content proposed in the task description, but:
-use simple text for the datasets description (I think using what is in "Goal" would be good, like "Subtraction table of *")
-adapt the number of stars (so, I guess start with 4 stars as the first dataset already use maximum minuend 11)

@dekumar : ok, after discussing about it with @echarruau , we concluded to keep current dataset content.

But you need to change the number of stars for the datasets (I think we'll have only 4 and maybe 5 stars then).

I have updated it as per the comments.
