Making the option available in the "Layer properties" pop-up is the most intuitive for me. But don't remove all the other options as the "file layer" pop-up does, add to the extra field to the popup instead in case is clone layer :)

This patch fixes shift + Click using isInStasis property for nodes, allowing to keep a state for each image on same instance different window / tab, or different instances. It keeps control off nodes from the root of each individual tree.

Dmitry solution does not allow to get all layers in the same size. Nor is it possible to have smaller cropped layers.

With dmitry's proposal we can have grow and fit to image export layers behaviour.

The error not in your log probably has to do with ext_qt not finding zlib. the problem with the osxbuild of this git moment was that it stopped on any build error.

Just to note: on OSX install both imports PyQt5.Qt and PyQt5.Qt yield the same result. This problably means that there will probably be no issues with this patch.

Yes, I made a script to add plugins and missing libraries. I'll add the scripts in "packaging/macos" on a commit on its own.

This compiles and links correctly on OSX, showing the news widget when no documents are loaded. The patch has not been tested in Windows.
