Please add this comment there instead?

- yes for pixel art that could be great too!

i saw this proposal
and i mainly agree with it , if we could eliminate that docker that would maybe be good.Apr 9 2020

I've got a reply from @Bollebib about your implementation of "Selection next/prev sibling" feature. He reports it works as expected. The only worry he has is that he wanted to use it in conjunction with this feature that is not yet implemented :) https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377468
In T12769#225732, @eoinoneill wrote:@Bollebib I think doing that wouldn't be too difficult but would require a new Export UI for the compositions docker to accommodate for more advanced settings (kind of like the existing Animation Exporter UI?)
The filters thing is arguably easier and the fact it doesn't store the state I would consider a bug. There's text-based metadata in every filter layer so saving the settings applied to a filter should be relatively trivial. (famous last words. :) )
Out of curiosity though, @Bollebib , do you think there's potential overlap between the features of the current compositions docker and the proposed storyboard docker T12819 that are worth noting? It seems to me like the original intention of this dockers design was to manage multiple compositions in one krita file, which seems to overlap the concept of storyboarding in general. It might be good to unify the vision of this docker with the proposed storyboard docker perhaps?

Is there any chance of getting composition docker export to work with animation? this would be good for more powerful exporting options and layer control for those exported PNGS or movies
Mar 25 2020
so we ALMOST have cycles
-Export as PNG for different pages should also be possible, not only PDF's.
-Rightclicking a thumbnail maybe should provide the option to open the image (or a range of images) as a new krita file so you can start expanding the scene or animating. Set the size of the project and import the thumbnails into it. (wish)

a single .Kra seems more manageable

@confifu as a first glance the mockup looks okay.
@scottpetrovic I never/rarely use text , so it should also work as a purely visual tool.
Mar 15 2020
I may have missed it but this is something related to animation and that Tyyppi knows about, maybe it should be included here.

- A small little request may be that using mouse scroll no longer goes from frame to frame but that it scrolls the timeline up or down
this is interesting but is a huge task tho. This would need lotsof mockups first...
i think if it was only visual that would also have limitations and annoyances
Aug 15 2019
yes this would be so useful

Sorry my time is limited, but I will try to work on it a bit more this week.
not cross-platform yet, I work on linux, I have an old mac, but I don't have windows.->i hope it gets ported to windows since i use that.
ya, I wanted to be cross-platform too, but i currently don't have a windows machine, mac support is easier for me to do.
can't handle canvas size changes->this is probably fine as an initial limitation
This is actually not that hard to achieve.
supports only one recording at a time.->this is fine
This is not that hard either, but I wonder if there is a need for this.
As i understand similar features like this working
I think procreator saves the timelapse in the drawing file. And even if the file is closed and opened, the timelapse just resumes. Would this be the case for this implementation too?
In the current implementation, i set a limit of the maximum frames (images) of a single video file.. If a video exceeds that frame number, I save the current video and automatically start a new video file. the file name would be in a pattern like record001.webm record002.webm ...
then I will use ffmpeg to merge them together before uploading to youtube . it's very simple to do.
the reason I set this frame number limitation is because I want to save the video frequently, so that in case of a crash, you won't lose most of the previous recording.
video files are tricky (at least the way I'm doing it, this could be improved later.), you need to "wrap it up" with a proper "footer" data, otherwise the video file is corrupted. therefore I can't treat it like a normal file and simply append new images to it.
as of right now, in the case that you stop Krita and relaunch next time, I will generate a new video file with name record003.webm ... for example,
and again, in the end, I use ffmpeg or imovie to combine them together.

I would definitly be interested in this since i upload art to youtube constantly

15. Colorfilter dropdown should be a horizontal strip ,no dropdown.

"toggle layer properties"
May 22 2017
I would not be against putting the animation docker buttons on the timeline but the space it takes would need to be very minimal. And maybe we should even have the possibilitie to hide it to reclaim horizontal screen estate.

i second what woltherav said.

there might be some discussion needed still, you can often find me on IRC for an animator's input.
The following will be my initial thoughts but can be downscaled to make it more manageable or expanded to make it more feature complete. I have no idea how big this project needs to be for the student,so it will need discussion.

This is already on a wishlist on phabricator, this is a good idea that just needs a dev to put in his/her time.

I think I made a mistake. I meant it also happens when you ISOLATE LAYER ,not canvas only mode or fullscreen.

It's a solid design.

In T3543#50614, @genevievey wrote:I'd like to weigh in some of my thought about this feature. This would be extremely useful not just for animation but also for pixels and sprite art(palette swaps, for instance)! My workflow as of the moment involves making use of the similar color selector (with selections hidden so i can see better) and a shortcut set to fill + the HSL filter.
It would be nice to have the palette docker display all currently used colors and be able to edit them through the use of sliders. As an example here is a really old program (so old I had to find it through archive.org) http://i.imgur.com/vGPoYHm.png
Just having a slider to change a single color would be immensely useful! I hope you consider this suggestion! I am aware the Krita is not made for pixel art but seeing that it could have applications in other aspects makes it worth a try to suggest anyway.
Aug 28 2016
yes ,this would be interesting ^^

pitch doesn't need to be changed ,I think. It's much more useful to have undistorted sound

I'd like to understand what this is about, but I don't know any russian..
Usually a wipe, yes, but in that case you can just press clear or delete. Keeping the modular way of working is very valuable too.
