While I totally respect your opinions on this, I do feel this is a KDE decision and that we (Kubuntu) shouldn't be trying to change it.

I added go-mtpfs to the seed, and it was added to the most recent iso. Can you test that this now works correctly?

With the announcement of Unity being dropped by Canonical and Ubuntu changing back to GNOME, there could be users who might be considering moving to Plasma instead of GNOME. This led to some of us considering providing a few themes installed by the iso for Kubuntu which might make those users feel more at home. ie a theme which makes Plasma look like Unity.

We need to get a shortlist of the photographs we want to include, sooner than later.

We added the Qt5.9 PPA to unstable PPA and artful is now building using it. I have been using the packages from unstable and everything seems to be working correctly.

Kubuntu shares the archive with the other flavours. As such we can not adjust the package in "Kubuntuland".

I would back you on this, there has been huge changes to PIM over this past few months and despite being a huge fan and user of PIM, I can see the point of our many users who do not use it, nor want to. So why do we force them having it installed by default, taking up valuable resources.

We would need to get the wallpapers voted on and the winners selected to get uploaded pretty soon. I was hoping for a few digital type wallpapers with Kubuntu branding but there doesn't seem to be any submitted. Would it be worth asking the VDG for a submission?

This is on our radar and we have had a number of discussions about dropping Amarok. This is not a popular option for many or our users and/or some influential Kubuntu members. At the moment we are keeping an eye on Babe and Elisa, but so far neither are at the level to be a replacement for Amarok on the ISO.

Nothing came of it because the idea got shot down as people don't want something that is considered nagware on their system. In addition to my -devel ML email [1], I got very negative feedback via off list email and also IRC so I dropped it, therefore I personally won't be involved in working on this.

Ideally this bug should be opened with the PIM team so that korg is not started by default and maybe even ask the user if they want it started on startup.
