Description

We need

  • reach out to existing dev fund members (mollie/paypal) and pre-seed the dev fund
  • have a message for the krita-announce mailing list
  • have regular news posts with a video once a week in May
  • contact people who might want to talk about the dev fund (libre arts, blendernation) and prepare text
  • change krita.org donation link to dev fund

About the reaching out to existing dev fund members point, it's a bit complicated and will require a bit of manual work.

What we need is to contact every existing Krita dev fund subscriber and ask them to subscribe to the dev fund and either:

  • Subscribe to a dev fund tier that corresponds approximately to the amount they are donating, select the bank payment method for the amount and tell use once it’s done. We can then manually enter that their subscription was accepted and is valid for one year or 6 months so that their name appears on the website as a donator. Obliviously this is only important for those who want their name to be displayed.
  • Cancel their current plan and get a new one in fund.krita.org

Importantly we shouldn't force everyone to switch to the new plan. People are lazy and in a non-negligible amount of them will cancel their old plan and not renew the new one. If people are donating via mollie/paypal, we shouldn't complain, it is better than nothing :D

Two ideas that came up in the meeting

  • Need to add some images to the fund website. Right now it is bare, and it might be good idea to have some images of Kiki to make it appealing and related to krita
  • Need to create banner images.

Some other feedback

  • Need to fill in the credits section which is empty now
  • Name of the credit section can be "Supporters"
