The brochure pdf needs to be "fixed" so that
"Bijal" is not the author
and all fonts are embedded (at the moment there's 4 that are not).

When you say "sponsor flyer" do you mean that brochure document or something else?

I mean the document attached above. Lydia sent it to us (me and @skadinna), asking us to revise the texts. I also noticed the layout could be cleaned up a bit. That said, if we could see the PDF with emebedded fonts, it may help us get a better idea of what the end result should look like.

@duffus There are quite a few issues with this flyer. I think it is best to take this as a draft. If we could have the version with the correct fonts embedded, it would be very helpful to get to work on it. We would also need the original editable texts to copyedit and proofread them. Can anyone provide these to us?

By the way, was this made with Scribus?

• kerning in footer and front page is too crushed together
• missing credits for photos on p1, p4
• grammar in support free software on p6
• gear round page numbers is pixelated and on p10, p5 it is off the page

Thanks. There will be more things in the correction queue. As I say, we haven't started revising it yet.

Here's a cleaned-up version of the original brochure text (without weird line breaks and such).
I'll upload a version with my own corrections and suggestions shortly, so you'll be able to run a diff against the original text to see the changes.

We should hurry up with this if we want @aacid to send an improved version of the brochure to potential sponsors as mentioned on the mailing list.

@duffus the Scribus file you attached is very different from the PDF. Is this the final design you want?

@paulb @skadinna To avoid such editing conflicts, I'd recommend either using notes.kde.org, the Collabora Online on share.kde.org or if it's a more complex plain-text document even creating a Git repository (there might even already be one for promo, I'm not sure).

Hmm, okay. The first text I shared here was not edited, I only cleaned up the formatting to make the exported text from the PDF more readable.
There were no changes to the content itself. So we didn't have three versions of the text, but two. I thought that was clear from my post. Sorry about the confusion.
