Some applications have a strange name, it are difficult to read.
I want suggest to renaming KCalc:
KCalc | rename to | Kalculator |
Like Konsole.

Please keep in mind that changing a name is terrible on a promo point of view, as people might generally recognize a name as a good project. Also, renaming might not end well: just look at kde -> plasma.
I can agree on Kcalc, but I would not rename bug, recognized applications.
I agree with @niccolove that we should not rename a project without strong reasons to do so, because tutorials, docs and a lot of other things would suddenly be outdated and not easy to find anymore.
Therefore I don't think renaming Kdenlive or Gwenview is a good idea. KCalc / Kalculator would be fine as there isn't too much information online, but again, renaming programs does always require a non-trivial amount of work to be done (renaming internal functions, changing Bugzilla products, etc.).
I think that Gwenview is not a very popular program, the name is very incomprehensible, KCalc it's a very terrible name, need to rename it in Kalculator, or make a fork instead of renaming.
I'm not against to Discover, Elisa and Dolphin, but Gwenview and KCalc have terrible names.
KDE Applications: | Discover | Elisa | Dolphin | Gwenview | KCalc |
Gnome Applications: | GNOME Software | GNOME Music | GNOME Files | GNOME Photos | GNOME Calculator |
Deepin Applications: | Deepin Store | Deepin Music | Deepin File Manager | Deepin Image Viewer | Deepin Calculator |

Gwenview is shipped as the default image viewer in all KDE distros I've used, and I regularly triage bug reports from people using it in non-Plasma environments, so I think it's safe to say that it is a popular program. The proposed "KImage" name seems much worse; to me that name implies being an image editor, which it's not. It would have to be like KImageViewer which sounds awkward.
KCalc -> Kalculator I could get behind; the others are not reasonable IMO. Especially Kdenlive which is a very prominent and popular app. There's nothing really wrong with its name (just being a bit odd isn't a problem) so renaming it could only cause problems.
Also in my opinion the mentioned GNOME apps have terrible names. They're dull, generic, and have no personality or flair. Their use of common words makes it very difficult to search for them on the web without getting a ton of unrelated results. Keep in mind that when users see an app, the name is always associated with an icon and almost always a caption too; You know that Elisa is a music player because its icon is music-related and its caption says "Music Player".
Finally...
or make a fork instead of renaming.
That's not how things work in a healthy development community. :)
