Description

I would like to explore the possibility of making the brightness transitions in Plasma more pleasing to the eye. We received a lot of feedback during our bootup sequence redesign and people did not like having strong flashes of colors on the screens. I want to bring that idea to the brightness levels as well. @broulik has explored this area in the past.

What needs to be done?

It would be very nice! I have things to do that will take 1-2 month. If nobody interested till then, please ping to me. I can work on it.

Also we should talk about the details IMHO. It will be a very nice effect but also implementation must be smooth so the design details and logic are important.
