This was also done in the 4.1 branch:

tl;dr:

  • POT translation file generation
  • Stylesheet support. (And the stylesheet is used to determine the text-class from the styling put in the svg text)
  • Frames
  • Styling the text.
  • Database reference field

Hey boud and wolthera. Would it be ok to add these feature revisions to the task? They're both in master now.

Note: this release has a full and corrected Simplified Chinese translation:

to me

Hi Boud,

It took me MUCH longer than I anticipated to translate every string in krita.pot. More than 7200 strings and 25300 words, but I finally did it! I tried my best to study everything I translated and match the translation to their UI placements and their actual behaviors. Wrong translations are also corrected. The current KDE_CN build contains 95% of my Krita translation. I will ask Guo to rebuild it ASAP.

I hope we can bring Krita closer to Chinese users with this translation as a base. I will continue to take care of Krita's Chinese Simplified translation from now on so it will never go out-of-date.

Do we have plan to translate Krita's installer as well? I can help with that too.

During the translation process, I have discovered some possible mistakes/issues in Krita's original strings. Some of them are making certain strings untranslatable, some of them bring about usability issues. I have written down their contexts/suggestions/descriptions here:

I will discuss with Scott about website's Chinese translation next.
