I attached the existing PO and POT files that I am using. thanks for your help.

I finished to translate ja_JP.po

Looks good with what you gave me!

When rolling out Krita 3.0, we updated the download page and footer quit a bit. I attached a new POT file that has some additional translations.

If you can get me this PO file, I can start moving the japanese pages and posts to krita.org. For doing this translation for the site, I will probably wait until the Kickstarter is over so things settle down a bit.

thanks for your help.

Updated:

I spent a while this past weekend and moved a lot of content over to krita.org with the new multi-language plugin. The localizing effort is now going to be directly on...

krita.org/jp/

I need you and guruguru to look over this site and let me know of any errors or problems with it. I am still moving a lot of the posts, but just about everything else should be done.

I would also advise you two to get access to krita.org for making new posts. It will be done a little differently than before. You will not make new posts directly like you did before -- but make a Japanese version of an English post. This process will keep them linked for the language switcher to work.

I can explain in more detail later. Look over the site for now and request to get access.

I updated the CSS file to make the font smaller. I also updated the admin link on the footer so it goes to the right page.

Let me know if there is anything else that needs to be fixed on krita.org/jp/

Every night I will probably move over 10-15 posts from jp.krita.org to the new one. I will try to update the jp.krita.org references if they exist as well.

My krita.org access is ready. (I submitted the request yesterday, now it's processed)

for doing translations, this is the process I do with the new site.

  1. Edit an English post you want to translate
  2. Copy the content of the post to your clipboard
  3. Click the "+" next to the japanese
  4. A new Japanese version of the page comes up where you can paste the content in and make changes.
  5. Fill in the title and and update URL.
  6. Post when ready.

Clicking the "+" icon with the Japanese flag on the English post is important (step 3). This creates a relationship so WordPress knows that the Japanese post is a translation for a specific English post. I think this will make the drop-down switcher work if you are on a post and switch languages.

Just updated the parts that were built-in to the theme with the nightly builds. It looks like you figured out how to add the content in for the other areas. As you probably figured out many of the other areas you can edit yourself right in WordPress.
