It would be nice if the change keeps a bit of abstraction (the current code needs some refactoring to remove some properties from the children of a KHtml KPart).

Seems to rely quite a bit on the khtml/kio integration and custom url handlers. Maybe there is a way for QtWe to have custom url handling and content serving.
Also does quite some DOM interaction where it tries to find specific elements for exposing them in the shell. Maybe can be converted to javascript in qtwe
The plain view bits are quite simple, but that's only a small corner of it.
