Description

Gallery in https://krita.org/en/features/gallery not updated for a long time.
2018:

2019:

I think need to add a "Artworks of the Month" in Gallery.
Artworks will be choose from Reddit, Twitter, and KDE's Community Krita Gallery.
Every month will published in Gallery the best artworks created in Krita.

Need to come up how the best artworks will be chosen, the artworks with the most likes from Reddit, Twitter, and KDE's Community Krita Gallery, or create a special tag.
For example - #KritaMonthly, peoples will publish their artworks with this tag and among them will be choose the best 5-10 artworks and will be published in https://krita.org/en/features/gallery.

Hi, can you next time first bring this up during one of the irc meetings? They're on Monday 14pm cest on the freenode server, channel #krita, we have a section at the end for other business.

This sounds like a potential sub-task to a larger discussion with the monthly art challenge stuff. We need to do a bit more discussion on what that is going to look like, or who is going to have time to manage it. There might be a task already for that, but I cannot find one at the moment.

The main objective is show that in Krita you can do kool artworks. Due to the kool artwork of artists made in Krita it will advertise Krita as professional software for artists than "Just free-software for digital painting".

I really liked it how made Showcase in Procreate site, there is Featured, Popular and Recent artworks
Featured - Developers choice
Popular - Community choice by likes
Recent - Latest published artworks by community

In order to publish your artworks you must register in Procreate site,

All published artworks are stored in own portfolio:

Other users can write comments and give likes:

It's all kool but in order to do as well in Krita site you need to rent a powerful servers.
The best way is do backward compatibility with forum.kde.org and Krita Gallery is create a Recently Artworks what to be bridged with Finished Artworks in KDE Community site, comments, likes and authors also will be bridged with forum.kde.org.

I'm going to close this task as well. This isn't a useful way of communicating with the Krita team. Like Wolthera has said, talk to us first before creating tasks like this. We have an active team and if you want to participate, you need to be in touch with us first, before creating tasks on Phabricator.
