So, that means, the mini is after all fully functional and doesn't reboot or shut down anymore on its own?! That would be good news!
@apol, please report on what happened to the mini!
Hi folks, I had a longer chat with Scarlett tonight and it turns out that she's going to deal with OSX/macOS builders soonish! :-)
Nov 23 2016
@apol, so, what do you think about our suggestion to use KDE's mini as a MacPorts-based buildbot?
Nov 21 2016
Have ye seen Craft coming: https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Build_from_source/Mac ??
Nov 20 2016
Sorry, @rjvbb, for not making perfectly clear what we intend to implement, even if it could only be a temporary solution, as many KDE devs might see MacPorts as unneeded overhead here. Yet for us it is the easiest way to fulfill all dependencies required to get Qt5/KF5 to run on Apple's OSes.
Hi folks, especially @apol, @bcooksley and @scarlettclark,
Plus, there needs to be made a decision on how KDE is going to install its KF5 libs and apps on Apple's operating systems.
Nov 14 2016
I am really sorry, but no, not at the moment. We're flat-out busy with Qt5/KF5 on MacPorts still...
No progress on OSX?
Oct 25 2016
OK, I have applied said patch and built with clang++-mp-3.9 successfully on Sierra 10.12.1.
OK, so I guess you should add me as a reviewer here. ;)
OK, so I don't need to carry out any further testing? Or is Sierra still important?
Which compiler were you using on Mavericks, René?
Oct 24 2016
First of all I don't experience the above described compile error on Sierra (anymore), i.e. it built fine without this patch.
Will test this on macOS Sierra 10.12.1 Beta 5 as soon as I get to it.

Hi folks,
any progress here?
Greets,
Marko

BTW, perhaps this task should be moved to Phabricator ?
You've inserted Phabricator (which is the Phabricator project here on KDE's Phabricator ), but you meant room "# fabricator" without the space trailing the hash. :-)
(How to escape the hash, I wonder...)
Jun 22 2016
It still doesn't clean out the list of notifications found via the bell symbol right next to the text "PHABRICATOR" at phabricator's top right.

I thought this is about the missing physical access to the host, no?
Hi, how is the status regarding the OSX build host?
Apr 16 2016
nienhueser, are you focusing on Marble as a standalone application, or more in the context of the surrounding KDE4/KF5 environments?
Apr 15 2016
+1 from me, René!
Apr 14 2016
Using Digia's binaries would save KDE's CI system a lot of extra-hassle, yes...
Which OSX version are you running? El Capitan?
Apr 13 2016
Did you check the setting
I thought it was in a computing center somewhere?
So, has the Mac mini found a home and is going to be a dedicated host for OSX builders now?

Ben, thanks for manually making this change.
Aug 5 2015
Still not fixed as of today.
My old mail address is about to expire within a few days.
Jun 25 2015
I see, but still, could you perhaps manually make the change to my current KDE identity address, as my old will expire in 2 months time!?
No change, sorry.
I mean that we deliver those two dependencies like you did it also for mlt, for instance. (But those two projects pull in some more dependencies which would also to be considered.)
Jun 24 2015
Can we not serve glib and dbus using the CI system's scripts/config/projects/*.cfg and identifiers.json like in case of e.g. libssh?
Jun 22 2015
My first build trial using this slightly modified qt5config:
configureCommand=%(configureExecutable)s -debug -opensource -confirm-license -shared -force-pkg-config -no-mtdev -no-harfbuzz -openssl-linked -no-xinput2 -no-xcb-xlib -no-libudev -no-egl -make libs -make tools -nomake examples -nomake tests -verbose -nis -cups -iconv -no-evdev -no-icu -fontconfig -no-pch -dbus -no-xcb -separate-debug-info -directfb -no-linuxfb -no-kms -no-framework -optimized-qmake -no-sql-db2 -no-sql-ibase -plugin-sql-mysql -system-sqlite -no-sql-oci -no-sql-odbc -no-sql-psql -no-sql-sqlite2 -no-sql-tds -platform macx-clang -no-openvg -force-debug-info -no-strip -prefix {instPrefix} -v -glib
ended with this error:

See T430 regarding removing MacPorts from qt5.

Yet, one thing should not be forgotten in the process, MacPorts is there and would like to deliver all dependencies as it currently does.
Now that it is decided that MacPorts is to be isolated totally, we probably need to do something like what Boudewijn does for krita...
Jun 20 2015
Should we perhaps add him to this task?
Well, whether we're using MacPorts' libs or the system ones is a decision to make!
Right now we have a mix of both anyways.
In some cases it might be better to use the system, in others one has to go for MacPorts version!
I don't understand what you mean.
Ben has committed the use of extraPrefix to the builder config...

Your reply came in with the old address.
I just did so. Thanks, Ben. Let's see, whether this will now send the notifications with the new address. Please send me a reply for testing.

What are these sharedDependencies, actually?
