Email address not in sync with KDE identity
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

I have changed my email address on KDE identity. Phabricator neither queries KDE identity for the actual address, does it allow me to set it myself.

How can this be fixed?

Ack, I have no idea, actually I would like to know to as I want to now use my kde.org email.. changing to Ben!

I am more than happy to learn and take over this responsibility if you show me Ben.

Can you try visiting https://phabricator.kde.org/settings/panel/external/ and refreshing your account link?

I just did so. Thanks, Ben. Let's see, whether this will now send the notifications with the new address. Please send me a reply for testing.

You can view your email addresses at https://phabricator.kde.org/settings/panel/email/ in any event.

Your reply came in with the old address.

Using the link I saw that it still contained the old one in there, despite my LDAP activity before.

According to upstream this is intended functionality for the moment, we'll discuss how we want to solve this.

I see, but still, could you perhaps manually make the change to my current KDE identity address, as my old will expire in 2 months time!?

My old mail address is about to expire within a few days.

Please replace the address Phabricator is currently using by my Identity's email address!!!

Your account has been updated manually.

Ben, thanks for manually making this change.

I leave this issue open, though, as manual intervention doesn't sound like the way to go. Feel free to close it, if you disagree. :-)

Thanks again, Marko

bcooksley changed the visibility from "All Users" to "Public (No Login Required)".Jan 24 2016, 7:18 PM
bcooksley edited projects, added Phabricator; removed Sysadmin.

Run into this as I also need to update my email address. It's been two years since the issue was logged...

Can you please file a Sysadmin ticket and we'll sort you out?
