Marking notifications as read does not delete them from the drop-down list

Description

What is the "Mark All Read" button for if it doesn't clean out the list of notifications when clicking the bell symbol at the Phabricator's menu bar at the top left?

This is probably another Phabricator bug, we'll update the installation at some point soon - that may resolve this as Notifications is a very new feature.

Phabricator has since been updated, please check to see if this has been resolved.

No change, sorry.

Still not fixed as of today.

What is the status of this, after many Phabricator updates?

It still doesn't clean out the list of notifications found via the bell symbol right next to the text "PHABRICATOR" at phabricator's top right.

I suspect this is probably intentional Phabricator behaviour and that mark as read is used elsewhere for tracking something else. Please have a chat with upstream (via filing a ticket there, or asking on Phabricator on Freenode.

You've inserted Phabricator (which is the Phabricator project here on KDE's Phabricator ), but you meant room "# fabricator" without the space trailing the hash. :-)
(How to escape the hash, I wonder...)

This issue is not pressing for me, but perhaps I'll find the time to discuss with upstream one day, if I am really bored out of my mind. ;-)

BTW, perhaps this task should be moved to Phabricator ?

bcooksley edited projects, added Phabricator; removed Sysadmin.Jun 27 2016, 8:01 AM

It seems Phabricator treats all hash tags as references to projects. Not much that can be done about that, and something that is otherwise useful.

Okay. I'll shift this to Phabricator for now.

From what I can tell this behaviour is now fixed, please reopen if that is not the case.
