A few Chinese string updates to krita.org
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

These are some suggestions by @tysontan . I know @alvinhochun likes to tweak the Chinese as well, so maybe it would be good to agree on things before I make these updates.

1 - Store version
Chinese:

2- Windows Store
Chinese: Microsoft 商店

3 - Steam Store
Chinese: Steam

4 - Epic Store
Chinese: Epic 商城

5 - Test out the latest builds that are created every day.
Chinese:

6 - Release Notes
Chinese:

7 - Additional Instructions URL text
Current:

scottpetrovic updated the task description. (Show Details)

Hi @scottpetrovic, the current zh-hk and zh-tw strings are fine. We don't necessarily need to sync with zh (zh-cn).

@alvinhochun - ahh that is right. I remember you mentioned the breakdown with languages, but I forgot.

I just updated krita.org with the new zh-cn version.

Thanks @scottpetrovic , but "Store version" is still English only.

@tysontan - dang. I somehow missed that. I just updated it. Let me know if it is all good.

@scottpetrovic A few more things:

  1. "常见问题" link has one space in front of it.
  2. "Linux 64-bit Appimage" inside of All Download Versions has no translation. It should be "Linux 64 位 AppImage 软件包".
  3. "Get the latest version without relying on your distro." to "Appimage 软件包可以在任意 Linux 发行版下运行。" (Chinese comma to period, because we don't need " Download the gmic-qt plugin for G'Mic to work." after 5.0 is out)
  4. Krita's documentation has just replaced everything with AppImage, with a capitalized "I", so change it too for krita.org's English version if you like.

I think that's all I noticed at the moment.

@tysontan - Take a look whenever you have time. I think I got all these changes are done.

Thanks @scottpetrovic
There is one place you forgot:

  • String: Get the latest version without relying on your distro.
  • Replace "Appimage" with "AppImage"
  • Replace the "," at the end, with "。"

Once 5.0 is released, there is no need for G'Mic AppImage, so the sentence must end there.

@scottpetrovic
I've found one more comma to be replaced in the Gentoo tab. I'm sorry that I didn't look hard enough:

  • Maintained by the community.
  • Replace the "," at the end, with "。"

Please note that I edited the comment https://phabricator.kde.org/T14835#262723 afterward, please be sure to read the latest version.

@scottpetrovic

Oh snap, there is another one. I'm really sorry:

  • Paid versions of Krita on other platforms. You will get automatic updates when new versions of Krita come out. After deduction of the Store fee, the money will support Krita development. For the Windows store version you will need Windows 10.

I think it's a better for me to take the updated POT file and do a more thorough check. Many old modifications I did in the S-Chinese translation are not needed today, because they have been fixed.

Can you send me the POT file, @scottpetrovic ? Thanks!

Here are the POT and PO files. You can just attach the final ones when you are done and I can update them on the site.

I'm sorry for coming back so late. I lost myself translating the documentation, and totally forgot about this task. I've updated the PO/MO files.

@tysontan - I just updated the files on the site. I am not sure which messages/pages you updated, so not sure if the cache is going to be showing the old translations or not. Let me know if I need to refresh anything if you don't see the updates.

@scottpetrovic The new translation is already showing. Thanks!

One thing though -- "Krita Gemini" is still showing on the footer in the Simplified Chinese version. It has been removed in the English version and it is now a dead link. Can you help me remove it in the Chinese version as well? Thanks!

@tysontan - I just removed the Krita Gemini. It was actually on a lot of the other languages...so I just removed it from all of them. To get to that, it was on the Appearance > Widgets area. That has all the footer areas.

Thanks @scottpetrovic !
I know how to manage them on my own website, but I don't have the privilege on krita.org. I was unable to see the Appearance/Settings tab.
I think all the issues I know has been resolved for now.
