Description

Can be created on https://framaforms.org/

Questions:

  • If you are still using Gtk+ version, why:
    • missing server
    • not supported by device (Windows XP, Vista, macOSX, ipad, not packaged for linux distribution...)
    • missing activity (which one(s)?)
    • price/migration cost to the new version (too many devices?)
    • other (precise)
  • Which activities do you use?
    • How would you improve them (is there a missing feature)
  • How to improve activities you would use but can't for now because of a missing feature?
  • Which activities would be interesting for you to have?

Considering the implications of the GPDR nowadays, I would prefer not to gather datas like this...
Maybe we can close this task as "wont fix"?

Ok for me.

As long as we don't ask/keep information on people it is fine.
Then, if you consider we don't need feedback or we won't get it like that, we can close it.

Right, personal informations would not be so much the issue.

On another side, I think such form would add extra overhead to manage, for not so much benefits.
We already have the answer for many of the questions:
-those who still use the old gtk+ version are mostly windows XP users (but that we can't do much about it... XP will slowly go with time)
-anyway we do need to bring back the server, and the option to customize content, but adding more pressure will not make those happen faster
-on the missing activities side, we know which are missing and requested by users now and then (analog electricity, paint and animation)
-the price is not an issue anymore
-when people need a specific feature or have idea for a new activity, they already contact us directly for it without needing a form

We already have a lot of relevant TODO, and have a good idea of what is needed for the next few releases...
(first finish the integrating multidataset and probably make a 1.0 release from that, then look at adding the server and the customize-content feature... )

So I'm closing it for now. Let's see in a few years after all the ongoing work is done if such form would then be needed.
