Apply Filter on Folder does not work
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

At least in our test setup (KDE Neon Devedition Git Unstable) Applying a Filter on a Folder does not work.

It always pops up "Some Filter were changed but not saved..." dialog after selecting a folder. Even after one applied the changes.

This blocks us from testing recursive apply filters.

Where exactly do you get this popup? Where are you selecting a folder? The message makes no sense when applying a filter, there's no change to the filter at that point.

Could you tell me which versions of kmail and mailcommon packages you have installed? Since it's git unstable, I assume the versions should have a git revision....

They only have a date and are a bit outdated my test was with:
kmail: 4:17.04.3+p16.04+git20170815.0822-0
mailcommon: 4:17.04.3+p16.04+git20170815.0741-0

The message box comes after you select a folder and hit run now:

If it does not happen for you we can maybe put this down to some issue with the neon packages. I'll try to update now maybe there are newer packages.

Might be specific to the Encrypt filter as the Filter Action widget "flickers" after hitting apply. Maybe this causes the widget to think it was changed.

Also happens with:
kmail 4:17.08.1+p16.04+git20170910.0529-0
mailcommon 4:17.08.1+p16.04+git20170908.1550-0

Fixed by commit R92:aac56c7ee63a6c6a192cb325cea67eaa0b9d2104 in mailcommon.

Can run and apply filters now from the filters settings
