I have looked into it, but failed miserably. I been trying to build calamares on my Launchpad account, but can't seem to get it to build.

kpmcore seemed to build ok, but I figured the issue with calamares was to do with partitionmanager which also failed to build. So kinda stuck!

Discussion on IRC revleaed that kpmcore 2.90+ broke API and cala 2.4.x will only build against lower kpmcores. Fortunately neon user seems to have 2.2.1 which should be nicely compatible.

OK, will look into this more later and try building on Xenial

it's in dev unstable so I'll move this to review and open new cards for missing bits
