- Before translating please contact the KDE localization team for your language: http://l10n.kde.org/teams-list.php
- Download translation file: http://l10n.kde.org/stats/gui/stable-kf5/team/ -> select your language -> calligra, then download 3 files:
- krita.po,
- desktop_calligra_krita.po,
- org.kde.krita.appdata.po.
- Use a PO file editor (Lokalize, Poedit, ...) to fill in the incomplete translations in those files.
- Test your translations:
- Create directory for compiled Gettext translation files: `mkdir -p $HOME/.local/share/locale/ru/LC_MESSAGES/ `
- Compile your krita.po file into krita.mo (You can get .mo files when you save files with Poedit): `msgfmt -v /path/to/krita.po -o "$HOME/.local/share/locale/ru/LC_MESSAGES/krita.mo `
- Run Krita. If it's not in your language, select menu item Help -> Change Application Language... and change to your language.
- When you are satisfied with your translation, please send it for review to members of KDE localization team for your language.
