Write animation pages
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

  • Onion Skin docker
  • Animation docker
  • Timeline docker
  • General introduction page
    • Workflow:
    • Import frames
    • Draw an animation(walkcycle or bouncy ball, both is fine)
    • Export frames
    • Turn into a gif with imagemagick or some gif creator.
    • Export to spriter?
    • Export to tvpaint? Thanks! @fazek
  • Small blurb for the general concepts page.

It'd be nice if someone who actually liked animation could do this one. Each of these can be seen as subtasks.

did import...

we need someone to demo spriter and csv export. @fazek maybe you could make a step-by-step for csv export/import between Krita and tv-paint?

(Spriter will take a while)

Ok, I'm going to make something for the csv format. But I need somebody to check the grammar, my English is a bit weak.

As I see there is no page for the csv format yet. I think the main article should go the file formats section and perhaps something into the animation import-export section too.

That is fine. :)

For the filefomats you can make a page at http://docs.krita.org/*.csv and add

[[category:File Formats|C]]

at the end so it'll get added to the list. You can use the phabricator account to login on the wiki, but it is fine if you prefer to make an odt file and attach that here, or a google doc, I can port it then.

@voltherav: I've created the page, please check and feel free to correct it. I'm thinking about some picture illustrations now. What do you think, could I add screenshots from TVPaint as well?

Yes images are welcome :) for the other plugins, include links?

Updated the .csv page. I also included a picture from the TVPaint GUI for the export settings, I hope it won't hurt them, but please check it.

I am going to resolve this, let's make the spriter export a seperate task.
