When the user tries to open an already running, single-instance application, the system tries to reopen it.

Options to fix this:

  • use libtaskmanager to give focus to the existing window belonging to the application
  • KDBus single instance API in every single application

Please don't go with that option. We can't expect every (non-KDE) application to use such an API for it.
