Please note the "KDE Applications" is used only for applications part of the "KDE Applications" bundle; it should not be used by applications not part of it.

That said, did you discuss about this is needed? I thought that the work is directed towards the usage of Qt Virtual Keyboard: http://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qtvirtualkeyboard-index.html

I'm removing KDE Applications and adding Plasma, because they may have a better point of view about this.

yeah, we should concentrate in making one keyboard to work well

Qt Virtual Keyboard is only for Qt apps, while KVKBD can be used regardless of a toolkit.
On the other hand KVKBD is dependent on X11 (XTest extension)...
The good result of porting was that I found and fixed a couple of bugs in plasma-integration.
