@rempt I understand the aversion to third-party systems and the maintenance hassle they can require! However, Chocolatey is basically the equivalent of Homebrew on Mac. There are official Microsoft-Chocolatey collaborations and it's mentioned in official docs. Also, as far as I can tell, the Krita package is officially maintained by KDE, too (look at the authors).
