Description

Me and Veggero/Niccolo have been running an Instagram account for the last wee while
https://www.instagram.com/kdecommunity/
It seems like a fun way to engage our users and so far it's got a loyal following of 90 with no publicity so probably doing some publicity for it and it'll get plenty more followers.

But most of the content it just taken from Planet KDE without asking. I suspect if we ask people every time we want to take something we'll get bored quickly. But are we OK to repost from Planet KDE without asking?

We'd also need some more volunteers to help out with posts, anyone interested?

I agree that an instagram account is a good idea.

Could we try to only take recent pictures? Currently some of the images recently posted are year olds.

For the problem with Planet if we wanted to be completely it would have been nice to ask everyone adding his feed to Planet to also consent to publish the content under a creative common license. Now it's a bit late.

But it shouldn't bother anymore, if we mention the blog it was taken from and link to it. We already are doing it since years with Twitter and Facebook.

And we should probably use the kde or konqi logo as Intragram logo instead of a photo.
