Steam: Store Page Localization
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Steam is an international platform, and I have a hunch that we could further increase our success on Steam if our store page was more accessible to people who don't speak English.

Below is a link to the translation document on Google Docs. I could have done this through git, but we'll see how this goes.

I can translate to Polish when you finish the English text.

Ok! I've updated the English wall of text and I've added a link.
Please add your translation below, and let me know when you think it's ready to go.
Also feel free to put your own spin on things localize the writing until if feels natural to your language or culture.

Thanks for helping. =]

Typo in the first sentence: paintaing -> painting

I can do the German translation.

EDIT: Also, the first sentence of the second paragraph contains exactly the same grammatical construct as the sentence before and is a bit repetitive to read: " from industry [x] to ..."

EDIT 2: Sixth paragraph (last on first page) has a bit of repetition too: "for artists everywhere" in two successive sentences

Thanks for the edits, Rebecca!

Let me know if you notice anything else that sounds awkward.
Nothing worse than a typo in the first sentence...

@tymond and @rbreu, I've sent you both an invitation to edit the document using the email addresses attached to your git commits. I can also post an editable link if that's easier.

OK, I'm done. Let me know if you put it online so I can give it one last read with the propper formatting.

Hey @rbreu, sorry for the delay.

I've published your German translation, please give it a glace when you have the time.

Thanks again for your help. =]

Two things:

I messed up one closing italics tag: "dadurch, dass du Krita auf Steam erwirbst, unterstützt du direkt dessen Weiterentwicklung".

And the em-dashes I typed as "--" didn't translate as proper em-dashes (—).

I fixed both in the google doc.

Closing this for now, thanks for the help!
