I finally got around to looking at these two issues. First, the Astrometry Startup wizard has been rather redundant since I integrated all the astrometry stuff so that installing it is no longer required. So, this will remove it. Second the GSC downloader has not been working particularly well, so I replaced it with my method of downloading Wikipedia content and Astrometry index files since the code works well, can be cancelled, and automatically updates the download progress.
