I think the winsows 10 desktop switcher icon is more self explanation but yes the tree dot's could get an improvement.

Added (6 & 7) but it's hard to make the same of Windows in 16x16 pixels.

Edit: also notice that Plasma panel show Activities vertically.

by default the panel use 22px icon size as fare as I know

Added two options (8 & 9). At the moment I think the #8 is better.

Yes but we have to support 16x16 too, so I start from it because it's the harder one. The 22x22 will be the same but bigger.

would it be possible to use different circles (sizes) than it would be more plasma like maybe.

circle didn't work at my tests. maybe Ivan has a good idea.

I'm currently using the #8 and I think it works well.

@andreaska I'd go for #8, what do you think?

#8 is goog @ivan its your app, your choise

@ivan said me he like the #8, can I push it @andreaska?

I somehow missed this one.

I like #7 and #8. The reason for it - it looks like multiple elements where the middle one has the focus.

+1 for pushing #8 - we'll see the reactions.

I've just seen that the same icon is used in win 10 for something else (no idea what, but I'm guessing virtual desktops).

In order not to confuse anyone, -1 :/

The issue with comparing them to Win 10 is that Windows just has Virtual Desktops but Activities takes that to the the next level and the user should know that. Virtual Desktops are just copies of the current Desktop but for different open apps but Activities can be different layouts for each Desktop.

I'm not sure of what to do. The current icon with 3 dots doesn't give any indication of what is supposed to do.
The risk a user confuse VDs with Activities exists but he should be able to understand the difference trying it.
I'm using the new icon and I like it but this is blocking me from pushing it to master.
