Agreed that last year's fundraiser was pretty epic. That said, a goal doesn't have to be more than any other year (although that would be great of course). Regardless, we do need is a couple of figures:

1. how much money do we want to raise before the end of the year,
2. and how many periodic donors to we want to add in this campaign

so we have something we can aim for.

One thing to also consider and plan are target groups. I imagine that usually our campaigns reach mostly the KDE community. Here is where the KDE Goals can be handy in helping us escape our bubble to try to reach other possible contributors:

• Streamlined Application Development Experience can talk to Python and Rust programmers that might be interested in using our technologies or devs that might be interested in writing third party apps in C++.
• KDE Cares About Your Input can talk to gamers and artists or even companies.
• KDE Needs You can talk to companies and educational institutions.

Maybe this can be a front that we can use for the campaign as well.

Idea for post Halloween donors: "Sponsor a KDE Gear App" - donate €100 or more and you can get your name and link on the "About" page of a KDE Gear app (from a list of apps whose maintainers agree). Limit is 14 of Nov (string freeze) so there is a time pressure element too.
