I know KDE relies on QT, but better getting prepared sooner rather than later…

Please use the template provided in T17356.

What makes Redox OS worth supporting, and what does it have to do with Qt?

This seems more of a Redox goal than a KDE goal ;-)

Hi @LeGast00n, there are only 4 days left to finish polishing your proposal. Please note that you must follow the template provided by T17356 and expand on your proposal. I suggest you rally the RedoxOS community that might be interested in this to chip in and participate. Good luck.

Hello,

Please note that the deadline just around the corner on Wednesday, so now is the time to finalize your proposal. Remember that proposals without a Goal Champion will be disqualified, so this step is crucial to ensure your idea moves forward. If you need help or have any questions, please let me know.

If you’re unable to finish your proposal but still want to participate, consider contributing to other ongoing tasks.

Thank you for submitting your ideas for the KDE Goals!

For real, Somebody would either need to completely port QT and all KDE Tooling to Redox, or reimplement everything in their native tooling.
Also, Redox ships its own Desktop Orbital.

It looks like they ported some libraries and applications like the Cosmic Suite, but according to current info they are missing QT, libwayland and quite a lot of other essential libraries.
This already means it would be an enormous amount of work to port it.

KDE goals should be for all of KDE, and this would mean telling everybody to focus on a niche of a niche.
Redox exists since 2015 and probably got a smaller market share than FreeBSD and to be real, I personally don't see any reason why people should abandon Linux and prepare to switch to Redux (for me this is, what your Goal implies), but please enlighten me.
