The autosave files that krita creates are stored in the parent directory whereas in earlier version it was getting created in the working directory itself where the original kra file is saved. For example now in 3.0 if you have the kra file in work > project folder the autosave files are stored in work folder. i couldn't check if this is the same in windows too.
