Mock Description

Plusfabi, Roman and Fabian has started work on a proposed redesign of Taskmanagers tooltips and these are the mockups provided by Plusfabi with the top row being my suggested edits to his mockup.

Please note that these are preliminary and by no means final!

nice designes please have a look that the previews will look good with a light panel and a light theme. therefore a shadow like at the dolphin file preview would help to show the preview better.

I like that you didn't show the app icon (again). I didn't like this big app icons when you don't have a preview.

I think this is the right direction show only additional stuff. e.g. when you don't use icon only task manager you don't have to show the title or filename cause this information is still available in the taskbar.

if you have shortcuts defined for applications it would be nice to show the shorcut in the tooltip.

additional information that didn't help someone. other tooltips (system tray) aren't the same size (big) so the tooltip for the task manager could be also smaler

would it be usefull to add also a minimize button? (left click is ordinary minimize)

Yes, in the case of not opened launchers and minimized windows, we could use a smaller representation by reducing the height and only showing the Appname and window title. It should have the same width as other taskbar tooltips though.

It's already possible to click on the taskbar item itself to minimize. Don't know if necessary therefore. Maybe for grouped tasks only?
