Do you need it for 5.9 specificly? In general I consider it frozen as no new applications should be adopting it right now. If you do need it I'm open to having it submitted.

I need it in 5.12, but IMHO it doesn't hurt to have it in 5.9 as well, considering that there will be a few more 5.9 releases
