It would be nice to show off more of KDE's awesome high-quality apps in Cosmic. Here are some examples:
- Krita
- KStars
- Marble

These are not the smallest of apps in terms of adding to our iso size. Not sure I am convinced.
I'd vote for Krita over all the others. It's a fantastic piece of software, on par with Photoshop and arguably outdoes GIMP.
~150 MB unpacked, though not sure how that will impact size of the squashfs
I will say that we are at a 1.8GB iso now and I would very much prefer not to push to 2 GB. We have at times people saying our iso is large/bloated as it is, and would want a smaller download.
Best idea would probably be to leave this until after the beta, where I can then temporarily add things to the seed and spin a new test iso to evaluate how sizes gets impacted.
Anything you can trim away? IIRC, Kubuntu ships with a full boat of System and Utility apps, which a lot of users might not need. I don't know how much space you can shave away with small apps like that - just thinking out loud.
