I got these photographs today. Feel free to use them for the banners and posters: https://imgur.com/a/AgcpSib

This is what I got so far. I hope it is up to par:

And here is the GIMP file I used (contrast/brightness changes not included):

I won't mind if anyone changes anything about it. So just go ahead if you are unhappy with anything.

my take on this

I think this is quite nice!
Some suggestions: On the quadratic version, maybe try centering the "IT" on the bottom row, I think it looks a bit squished.
Also, maybe try to fit in the KDE logo used here if you can find an SVG. Even if it doesn't fit the style perectly, it's still a nice logo and it would feel strange not to feature a KDE logo on such a poster. That's just my two cents.

My attempt at a poster

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your schedule and helping us out on this, everyone!

I'll circulate all of these posters over social media and local technical groups alike!

If anyone else is still working on the posters, please do post them here anyways so we can promote it over the social media as well.

Thanks a lot to @cblack @manueljlin and @felixernst for the posters!

The college has uploaded one of these to the official website! : https://mait.ac.in

Be aware that with the selected pictures alone people will not know what the conference is about if they don't know KDE.
This is a bit of a problem for the banner on the college website - but they are only a click away to find out.
This isn't a problem for the facebook event page.
Just something to consider if you are planning on actually printing a poster. I think my poster is still the best choice for this.
