There is an alternative solution to this all. However this would mean that User and Development will not be tracking the same packages.

Ok. But the above indications means QT 5.7.1, A new Xserver stack. Wayland would be just a minor change.
Maybe we could already start preparing things in Dev/Unstable ? I guess we can build Wayland 1.11 already and perhaps take git snapshots for XWayland 1.19 and hopefully the Qt 5.7.1 stack will be released soon.

I believe it could be useful under the condition that it would be an add-on repository for release/user. We could then utilize it to build beta's and RC's, optimize packaging and have people testing the betas/RC's without too much risk.

Same here. Build is successful, however it should be indicated to the distributions that a change in how the breeze icons are being build is required. This to get the required rcc files,

I ran the branch on openSUSE Build Service, but this resulted in the following error:
Unfortunately I can not open that possible fix, due to the following:

I have been using this patch for a couple of days now and I haven’t experienced issues anymore with the screens. Before the patch, I had the issue that despite the correct kscreen configuration, the panel would start on the wrong screen, etc. (This was then corrected by restarting plasmashell). Also from time to time I had the issue that one of the two screens would be completely black and no background or panel would be displayed.
Please keep in mind that distributions would have similar issues when packaging Kexi. If fetching files during build is a must, then this would mean that we (openSUSE) can not provide any Kexi package to our users. The Open Build Service does not allow network access during build time. This is causing the error that Heiko indicated and I also emailed to you.
