I just need a tiny shred of hope, a straight answer...

How can you believe in the KDE Vision, which is all about giving users control over their digital life, and not feel compelled to speak out against bills that would require surveillance backdoors in all devices?

Even KDE's Web Review doesn't mention this, despite recently speaking out against a threat to encryption rights in France, and even calling Apple "neo feudal overlords" for their backdoor plans back in 2021.

And by closing this previous ticket, you're basically admitting that you don't trust Western democracies to handle that kind of power. So why the silence?

I genuinely can't come up with any logic that could explain this. What on earth is going through your minds that made you stay silent? It seems like either you're being blackmailed or you secretly believe Western democracies are truly that benevolent.

Obviously, I can't find the peace of mind I desperately need because I have no way of knowing which of those two options is true...
