Marketing and Outreach
The core mission of the Magazine is to find it's way into the hands of people outside of the KDE community. To achieve this, the plan is to advertise the magazine as a Free PDF which is emailed to people with interest. Here are some of the tasks that will need to be completed.
- Define target interests
- Define advertise budget
- Source funding
- Set up campaigns
- Set up Email Subscriber mechanism
- Set up Subscriber distribution mechanism
Marketing and In-Reach
This is a separate consideration which relates to communicating about the Magazine to Projects and Distributions about the Magazine, and also helping them to communicate about it to their communities. This will probably involve helping them setup Download links on their websites, Magazine subscription forms on their websites and supporting them with other ideas that they may want to implement.
- Identify contact/communication pathways to communicate the magazine to Projects / Distributions
- Provide generic code for a Subscriber form
- Provide generic code for a Issues Download page
- Reach out to their community leaders and ask if they want to propose/author an article
