Great work Wolfgang, this indeed requires quite a bit of testing. Can you submit it directly to Gitlab? https://invent.kde.org/education/kstars

Is this information useful for non-developers?
Ok thanks for sharing the post. While it might help this user specifically, these statements are inherently debug and not info, so I think they should remain as is.
This is because users do not turn on verbose logging? but you'd ask them to provide logs at any rate, so might as well they turn on the verbose logging, no?

No need to do anything now, I merged it in master now after editing the git commit.
Will close this as we will move to Gitlab and it can be submitted there when ready.
I agree. I think it would be a good idea to freeze the Ekos code after this merge until the state machine issue is managed better and more documentation is added.
Thanks for the update. Can this be merged now while the state machine discussion + documentation be tackled later on? Would this introduce any further regressions?

It still doesn't work now, I think you need to commit again for the commit to have your full name :(

Now I'm getting this:
Been getting 0 HFR for CCD Simulator, any ideas why?

Looks like merge failed due to "Non-full name" error since there is "Patrick" only. Is there a quick way to fix this?
