# Description
Most likely, I am knocking at an open door, but I think it's worth mentioning here. KDE definitely needs a better system for managing localization. The mailing list topic is still hot about the issue, as the exact requirements are not clear yet. Personally I don't mind if its Weblate, Pootle, Damned Lies or Pontoon, anything would be an improvement.
Also a related issues, which is even worse: KDE heavily depends on Qt, but Qt's localization is **horrible**. I would like to see an effort from KDE's side to make translators life easier in this regard.
Current issues:
- technologies used include dated stuff like SVN
- apparently integration with existing systems (like identitfy) is sub-par
- documentation is not easy to find
