Based on suggestions. Please see these 3 options, as I am not a designer these are just for ideas. If there are more changes/suggestions, please share.
Please don't add a button "Become a mentor." Mentoring is not something a beginner can do. Most of our mentors are either chosen on an informal basis as various experienced people help beginners to learn new skills, or the more formal way that people volunteer to be GSoC/GCi or SoK mentors. Again, newcomers can't do these jobs.

Forwarding my answer from some private discussion (with some small edits):
I will revise the task based on everyone’s suggestions
I would go even simpler. Big button: "Welcome to KDE Chat" and link it to the matrix webchat. This element should dominate over everything else and be what most people click.
I think it might be worth stepping back and re-defining the problems we're aiming to solve here. I see:
@ognarb I have tried creating an image to express this idea visually.
So if I understand correctly the plan is to create a new page kde.org/get-involved with 4 buttons (Join our mailing list, steps, become a mentor, micro-volunteering). This page will link to the community.k.o/Get_Involved but also other things. I'm not sure how I feel about it and adding an additional page to kde.org with an intermediate steep doesn't feel right. We want to remove steeps and not add more.

@ognarb can we create a static webpage for "Get Involved"? We do not need to change the wiki page.
The current page is hosted in a wiki as such form and any other dynamic elements are not supported :/

The part that remains is transferring information from here to the Community wiki: https://techbase.kde.org/Development/Guidelines/CIG
Since archiving and removing old resources from wiki pages seemed to cause some displeasure, I have tried a different approach.

Okay so, #mediawiki told me of something that might fix the import. But now this page rename happened.

The KDELibs Coding Style page was changed some time ago to use the same style as the Frameworks Coding Style page. I assumed this was intentional, so it seemed logical to me that it should be renamed to Frameworks Coding Style. Whoops. Not sure how to resolve this either. It looks like it was changed in early 2016: https://community.kde.org/index.php?title=Policies/Frameworks_Coding_Style&diff=70315&oldid=47203
It was not moved, @ndavis seems to have independently without knowing this task renamed pages on community.kde.org instead. Good intentions, but not best execution IMHO. No idea how to resolve.
The page seems to has been moved now. Thanks!

I reverted the button theme to the original Aether button theme and increased the margin between the button. :)
Is there an ETA?
