Ok, please try the script again.
I've modified the script a bit. Please check PlasmaHelper::createPanel again.

What do you mean exactly by "RECTANGULATED" and "ORTHOGONAL"? Can you give some examples?
So, if your aunt or uncle asks you what the difference between a dock and a panel is, the answer is?
@mvourlakos I wonder if a fix would be to not have the Dialog class itself try to guess how it should be positioned based on hard-coded conditions, but rather have the code creating the popups define the behaviour. Or have the Dialog (sub-)classes query the environment for some policy, e.g. by searching for the cointainment and have it tell what to do.
@kossebau just to add some info, about your comment:

@trmdi playing with this more, I believe it should be supported only for the taskmanager not the applets. With applets is pretty clear that you always want them available.
As demontrated in the video when the parabolic effect is near the edge that could show icons that look cutted out
How do you scroll?

In the MacOS dock, the minimized windows are displayed in the dock as a miniature screenshot or render of the application window contents. The screenshot is overlaid with a small version of the application icon in the bottom right corner.

It's ok now. Thanks!
this is not possible because we are going to have multiple indicators in the future... It follows the plasma applets logic that is doing the same thing... pluginid names the root directory of the plugin
Hmm, I think the directory name is too long:
should just be:

A proper margin for can be added at somewhere in the structure of AppletItem and its children for containmnet and TaskItem and its children for the plasmoid...
Thank you so much for the detailed answer. I was able to do [1,2,4,5].
Unfortunately, I do not understand how to add margin in elements in . I tried to use anchor-based margin, but I see that in some files anchor is not used at all, and where it is used, the margin won't affect the appareance at all. I'm sorry to disturb you again, but may I ask you what the correct approach would be here?
