I have verified that this is fixed. Great work! :)

Oh, yea. WIth all the issues that I reported and all the bugs that you two have been fixing, I got slightly confused for a second and thought that this one had been fixed.
I tried following your directions, but I can't reproduce the bug. Do you care enough about this to have me verify it? I am not too concerned about it, but I will try to verify if you want.
Oh, yes. Of course. I should have been looking at the commits in the KDE/1.0 branch. Silly me.
Indeed. I was exiting via the Home button. I instantly reproduced it when exiting via the the escape key. I will verify soon.
In the head of the KDE/1.0 branch (commit 66d621)...
I tested on commit 3be from Oct 1

Actually, here is an argument for currently spamming the undo button.
There is no reason to spam the undo/redo buttons

Indeed it is. Great work :)

Related phrases in English are "poor sport" and "gracious loser".
Thanks for that info. I did misread those instructions. Thanks for clarifying.
Ah, I see my mistake. After I really did download and install the version in your link, instead of executing that version after installing it, I accidently ran the version from Ubuntu's package manager, which is version 0.81. Have been meaning to uninstall that version to avoid just this problem. I have uninstalled that version now.
I think it depends on your goal. If your goal is to teach kids to complete everything that they start, then I agree that not having a restart button is better. If your goal is to teach kids to reevaluate their previous decisions when circumstances change and new information is available, then I think a restart button is better.
I just installed that version, but I don't see the "Gravity" activity. Instead, it has a similar but different activity called "Intro gravity".
My kids also like to restart "Memory Game with images against Tux". When they realize that they can't win (because Tux has half or more of the matches), they prefer to start over. Since there is no restart button, they currently simulate the restart by changing the level and then changing back.
- Qt version 5.9.5
- Happens when first running the activity
- Happens every time
- Happens even after clearing the build folder and rebuilding
I just tested. It works perfectly. Great work! :)

Oh, ok. I was thinking about the ball as it is appears on the screen, which is a circle. I forgot about the possibility the the ball is represented in the code as a square.
Glad to help :)
The platform/operating system is Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. (I can get the minor version or any more information if you want.)

Maybe here? However, I didn't find anything on that page that was anywhere close to the clarity of your instructions above.

The formatting of the numbers is great now. Good work :)
I am changing the status to "Resolved". I hope that is what you want and is ok for me to do.
The left and right level buttons now work correctly. I also understand the bouncy behavior of the buttons and how the activity works as a whole.
I tested now. If works just as you said (both Enter/Return and Space are bound to the "OK" button). Thanks again :)
Perfect instructions. Are they also in the repository? I highly recommend including this information in the repository. I checked a few files but didn't find anything like it, but maybe I missed them.
Works great now. Good job!

Excellent work. Thanks for consider my request and adding so many more restart/reset buttons :)

I haven't compiled it before, but I am certainly willing to try. Is there a README with institutions I can follow?

All good points.

Sounds great. Thanks :)
Thanks for that explanation. I will test that activity to double check that behavior after a version with your fix is released.
Ah, yes, yes! Thanks. I am submitting too many bug reports!! ;)
Thank you for fixing it! :)
Nothing is printed to the console because of step 4. What happens when you do step 4?
Also, sometimes clicking left or right causes the buttons to "bounce up" from a single point below the bottom of the screen like then do after step 2. And sometimes they don't. I don't understand why this behavior differs. I expected that the only time the buttons would do this bouncing move is after step 2 and never after clicking the left or right buttons.
Yep, that is right. I am just recommending better formatting of numbers. No effect on the string freeze.

Yes, I would love for this fix to be in the release. I added screenshots to my previous comment. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to make this easier for you to fix. I will continue to quickly test anything you would like.

I just tested this using https://gcompris.net/download/qt/linux/beta/gcompris-qt-1.0-beta-Linux64.sh. The en passant behavior is better...because it is now at least possible...but its implementation is a bit buggy.
