I agree: this is still a default assumption for me, that free software is intended to run on personal computers. The PC experience (which includes KDE) is not the same as the mobile-first/online/cloud experience. And yet there is room for mobile operating systems to be more PC-like too.

The trouble is that since QPalette is serializable and has serialization versions, I think we need to get complete consensus and get all color role changes into one patch, or at least one Qt minor release. But perhaps now is not a bad time to do it.

DragHandler isn't doing anything specific for DnD, which is why you still need to mess with the Drag attached property so far. But that leaves us open for coming up with a better API. Maybe some brainstorming about some really ideal API would be in order, to make it as simple as possible? I.e. the minimal set of declarations that can be added to a DragHandler so that it works with a DropArea or with external applications. I guess we still need to keep the distinction between internal and external DnD? Or do we?

It needs to remember the password, I guess, because it's a generated password, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get it again later, only to generate a new one.

KWallet needs its own password, and always prompts for it on first use, right? That's a hassle, so I think of it as being for high-security passwords (when logging in to a web site you already know you're going to have to type something). Whereas with most mail programs, it's enough to log in to one's desktop, to read mail.
Kube allows the user to name the identity, so why not use that as the filename?
